Matthew Pfrommer is a 25 year veteran of the aerospace and defense industry and is co-founder/principal consultant at Sawgrass Innovations, LLC.  Matthew is an experienced technologist and business developer that excels at technology driven growth strategies with market leading financial performance. He is also well known for building/leading high performance development teams to solve complex national security problems. Matthew’s professional background includes time as an executive in Fortune 500 industry, civil service, and small business. He believes these different career experiences give him a well-rounded understanding of the defense ecosystem. 


Matthew has held several executive positions at large defense companies and most recently as Vice President/CTO Airborne Solutions at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS). Prior to Leidos he was Vice President of Strategic Capabilities at the Cubic Corporation where he held P&L responsibility for Cubic’s advanced development group.  Matthew has also held several positions in government civil service for the Department of Defense including Chief Architect, Chief Engineer, and Director of Test and Evaluation for ACAT-1 aircraft programs of record.  Prior to his tenure in federal civil service he held several program management and engineering positions in the defense services industry. Matthew is a veteran of the US Army, having spent 7 years on active duty before being honorably discharged.


Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida. He is an Army Acquisition Corp member and Defense Acquisition University Level III certified in System Planning, Research, Development, and Engineering. He also holds an FAA A&P and FCC GROL with Radar Endorsement licenses. He holds a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
